But don't worry-- Imposter Syndrome doesn't have to be the be all end all-- and you don't have to "fake it til you make it". You can actually work on creating practices and using art as a way to beat imposter syndrome. And you'll have fun doing it!

Getting into art lets you try new things and uncover hidden talents you didn't know you had. This can lead to:

  • Self-Discovery: Trying out different art forms like painting, sculpting, singing or writing can reveal skills that make you feel great in your skin.

  • Skill Development: As you practice and get better, you feel a sense of achievement that boosts your confidence.

Art also promotes a playful and experimental mindset, helping you accept imperfections.


Here's a cool tip to kick off your journey: pick something you love doing but aren't great at. Maybe you enjoy drawing but your stick figures look a bit wonky. Just doodle a little something and stash it where you can easily check it out—it's a fun reminder that you had a blast even if it wasn't perfect. Belt out your favorite tunes in the shower and record it—then play it back in the car and sing along. Embrace the joy in not being perfect!
